The event was addressed by Li Shuobing, FBA EAC President, and Tatiana Urzhumtseva, Director of the Russian Cultural Center in China (Russian House). The ceremony also included the participation of Alexey Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Corresponding Member of the RAS; Andrey Ostrovsky, Chief Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Contemporary China at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RAS, Doctor of Economics; Ivan Arkhipov, Deputy Chairman of the Society for Russian-Chinese Friendship and Chairman of the I.V. Arkhipov Foundation for the Development of Socio-Economic Relations between Russia and China; Natalia Baskakova, Rector of the Chuvash State Institute of Culture and Arts, as well as prominent representatives from the business community and cultural and educational spheres of China.

Tatiana Urzhumtseva highlighted that the Eurasian Cultural Residence is envisioned as a dynamic and interactive space where cultural, humanitarian, and interpersonal dialogue will become an integral part of daily life. She underscored that the cultural dimension is essential for the completeness of any economic relationship, as it facilitates the faster establishment of mutual trust. The participants in the ceremony concurred that the opening of the residence represents a significant milestone in fostering mutual understanding among the peoples of Eurasia, particularly between Russia and China.

In his address, Li Shuobing emphasized Shanghai's pivotal role as a nexus where financial flows and cultural currents converge. As a key node in the logistical, financial, and cultural network of Eurasia, Shanghai serves as a natural platform for such humanitarian initiatives. The Eurasian Cultural Residence is not merely an exhibition space but a collaborative hub designed to facilitate interaction among artists, scholars, students, and designers from various countries.

Following the grand opening ceremony, guests were entertained with a concert in the Chinese style and conducted on a guided tour of the residence's facilities. The architecture and layout of the premises were meticulously designed to accommodate exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and internship programs.

The Eurasian Cultural Residence, a joint initiative of FBA EAC and its Chinese counterparts, is poised to regularly host exhibitions by Russian and Chinese artists, scholarly lectures, cultural meetings, and educational programs tailored for students and schoolchildren. A particular emphasis is placed on collaborative projects with universities, aiming to instill intercultural competence among future economists, engineers, and managers from the outset of their careers.

Initial discussions are underway with partners from other Eurasian countries to implement joint initiatives. The Eurasian Cultural Residence invites anyone interested in promoting cultural and humanitarian dialogue between Russia, China, and other regional countries to engage with its activities.
