II Eurasian Economic Forum to be held in Shanghai from April 17 to 19, 2026
The II Eurasian Economic Forum, titled "Eurasia: A Space of Trust and Sustainable Cooperation," will be convened in Shanghai. This forum will serve as a pivotal platform for translating the strategic objectives of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Greater Eurasian Partnership into tangible outcomes. These outcomes will include investment decisions, project roadmaps, mechanisms for removing trade barriers, and ready-to-implement tools for Russian companies to access the Chinese market.
The forum will bring together a diverse array of stakeholders, including governmental institutions, business associations, financial organizations, manufacturing enterprises, and distributors, all under one umbrella.
A significant component of the forum will be the meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Investment Cooperation (CIC). At this meeting, proposals presented during the forum will be formally incorporated into the official resolution.
A notable practical outcome of the forum will be the inauguration of a cultural exhibition and a pavilion showcasing Russian products in Shanghai. These initiatives are designed to enhance the recognition and trust in the origin of Russian goods. Concurrently, the forum will facilitate the development and formulation of a portfolio of real-world cooperation projects, encompassing investment, technology, and innovation-driven initiatives, all of which will be prepared for support and implementation.
