On September 8, Financier's Day, an expanded meeting of the Organizing Committee for the All-Russian Essay Competitions "Financier's Day" and "Ruble Day" was held at the headquarters of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE), officially launching the competitions for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Welcoming remarks were delivered to the participants by Alla Gryaznova, Honorary President of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, and Vasily Chumakov, Leading Advisor to the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the SPKFR, Vice President of RUIE, and Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC, summarized the results of the 2025–2026 academic year competitions. Diana Mashtakeeva, Deputy Chairman of the SPKFR and General Director of the Association of Financial Market Participants "SPKFR", officially opened the new season and launched the competitions across all regions of Russia.
The expanded meeting was attended by co-organizers, competition partners, and representatives of the regional organizing committees. Welcoming remarks were also delivered by: Marina Abramova, Head of the Department of Banking and Monetary Regulation at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation; Anna Bezdudnaya, General Director of the FBA EAC; Tatyana Bondarenko, Deputy Head of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics; Olga Klink, Representative of the National Agency for the Development of Qualifications; Lilia Nekrasova, Head of the Regional Organizing Committee of the Kursk Region (online); Natalia Radchenko, Head of the Regional Organizing Committee for the New Regions of Russia (online); Marina Kulik, Head of the Regional Organizing Committee of the Voronezh Region; Elena Kornienko, Head of the newly established Regional Organizing Committee of the Rostov Region; Andrey Chumakov, President of the National Association of Professional Collection Agencies; Oleg Tsvetkov, Chairman of the Board of the "National Association of Corporate Secretaries"; Marina Nesterenko, Editor-in-Chief of Banking Business magazine; Rimma Moiseeva, Advisor to the Director of the Analytical Department of the Gosfilmofond of Russia; Olga Belyakova, Head of the SPKFR Mentoring Center; Alan Salbiev, Vice President of MASP BRICS and Advisor to the Chairman of the SPKFR on Digital Development; and Roman Fadeev, Director for Financial Markets Development at RUIE.
The All-Russian Essay Competition aims to popularize Russia's national currency among the youth and strengthen the national monetary system. By upholding the tradition of essay writing as an independent creative endeavor, the competition enhances knowledge about the country's financial system and the heroic chapters of its history. The worldview of the younger generation is shaped upon the principles of patriotism, family, and enduring human values.
Over the past 15 years, more than 60,000 participants from 75 federal subjects of the country have taken part in the competitions. Regional organizing committees have been successfully established and are actively operating in 40 regions of Russia. These events have become significant career guidance tools. In 2025, for the first time, participants from the Republic of Moldova and the Kyrgyz Republic joined the competitions.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, participants are invited to reflect on the role of the financial system and financial professionals in the Victory of the Great Patriotic War, in ensuring the contemporary unity of the country, and in the evolution of Russia's financial system. Additionally, they are encouraged to present their vision for the future of financial and economic education.

All-Russian Essay Competitions "Financier's Day" and "Ruble Day" Have Launched in Moscow
On September 8, Financier's Day, an expanded meeting of the Organizing Committee for the All-Russian Essay Competitions "Financier's Day" and "Ruble Day" was held at the headquarters of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE), officially launching the competitions for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The competitions are organized by the Association of Financial Market Participants "Council for Professional Qualifications of the Financial Market" (SPKFR) and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation. Co-organizers include the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE), and the organizing committees of the regional stages. The competitions are held with the support of the FBA EAC. Financier's Day is an official professional holiday established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 1101 of August 19, 2011. This date is highly symbolic: it was on September 8, 1802, that Emperor Alexander I established the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Empire.

- Regional Stage: Submission of entries from September 22 to December 20, 2026; evaluation and selection of winners from December 20, 2026, to February 28, 2027; summarizing of results from February 28 to March 10, 2027; and announcement of regional stage winners from March 10 to 25, 2027.
- Interregional Stage: Jury evaluation of the first-place regional entries and presentation defense from April 10 to 30, 2027. The finale and award ceremony will take place in Moscow with the participation of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation in April 2027.

The "Financier's Day – 2026" competition is also held in two stages:
- Regional Stage: Launch on September 8, 2026; writing and submission of entries from September 9 to December 20, 2026; evaluation and selection of winners from December 20, 2026, to February 1, 2027.
- Interregional Stage: Jury evaluation and selection of winners from February 1 to 23, 2027. The final events will be held in Moscow in February–March 2027 as part of the celebrations dedicated to the professional holiday, "Financier's Day".
