FBA EAC held a meeting with representatives of the Consortium of Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems
On the 21st of May, a working meeting of Alexander Kotlyarsky, the First Vice-President of FBA EAC, with representatives of the Consortium of Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems was held on the basis of the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Margarita Fedotova, Executive Director of FBA EAC, Anton Vasiliev, Director General of Sparta LLC, member of FBA EAC, Alexander Melerzanov, Dean of the Faculty of Biological and Medical Physics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and representatives of the Consortium – Bogdan Ragulin, Vladimir Stepanov and Alexander Afanasiev.
The aim of the event was to establish partnerships and identify possible forms of cooperation between FBA EAC and the Consortium, whose activities are focused on developing the Russian market of robotics and intelligent control systems. The Consortium unites leading scientific, educational and production organizations in such areas as industrial and service robotics, AI, unmanned transport and highly automated systems.
During the discussion, representatives of the Consortium presented their projects, among which special attention was paid to the educational platform “Kulibin” – a virtual 3D environment for programming digital robots, designed for simultaneous participation of up to 10 million users. It was noted that the platform can be used as a basis for large-scale international competitions.
Alexander Kotlyarsky, the First Vice-President of FBA EAC emphasized the significance of the initiatives discussed:
‘Thank you for outlining the directions. Each of them is extremely interesting. The events of recent years clearly show that robotics has huge prospects for development in various spheres. We are impressed by this vector, and we are ready to support your ideas.’
The idea of holding an international robotics championship aimed at developing engineering competence among young people, as well as the proposals to organize a film festival dedicated to the values and qualities of the individual aroused particular interest.
Alexander Afanasiev drew attention to the potential of cooperation with Eurasian countries and stressed:
‘Today it is important to shape the image of future careers among schoolchildren and students. Our projects, such as “Career Online”, have already shown their effectiveness, for example, in Tatarstan. We are ready to scale these solutions.’
Summarizing the results, Alexander Kotlyarsky proposed to prepare a round table:
‘In order to develop a roadmap, I propose to work out the topic of a round table, to which we will invite all interested parties. I am sure that this format will allow us to do some brainstorming and identify priority areas of cooperation.’
As a result of the meeting, there was reached an agreement to hold a round table on robotics and intelligent control systems on the basis of FBA EAC, as well as to start working on an international robotics championship.
