The Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation was represented by First Vice President Alexander Kotlyarsky, Presidential Advisor Sergey Korotkov, General Director Anna Bezdudnaya, Head of the Science and Education Committee Alexander Murychev (via video link), alongside representatives of the academic and business communities: Advisor to a Member of the RUIE Board Sergey Kalinin, and General Director of JSC Voronezh Industrial Corporation Maxim Trofimenko (via video link).
The Chongqing business delegation was led by Zhang Shiqiao, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Chongqing Association for the Promotion of Foreign Economic and Trade Exchanges, and Director of the Department for Attracting Foreign Investment at the State-Owned Corporation for the Development of the Chongqing Bonded Port Area.
The delegation comprised representatives from various economic sectors. Yang Ping, Secretary of the Party Branch of the Chongqing Sino-Russian Association for the Promotion of Economic and Cultural Exchanges, plans to lead a delegation to Russia next month to discuss cooperation in physical culture and sports. The visit was organized by Lai Chun, Executive Secretary of the Party Branch. The Association is the only one of its kind in Chongqing, established with the approval of the City Mayor to foster interaction between Russian and Chinese enterprises.
The energy sector was represented by Xiong Fei, General Director of Yuqian Electric Power Development Co. The company specializes in power generation and the design of energy facilities, and operates a hydroelectric power plant as well as a wind farm utilizing low-wind technology. Han Ke, General Director of Chongqing Lingyunxi Co., which develops stem cell technologies and related pharmaceuticals, represented the biotechnology sector. He also serves as the General Representative for Shandong Shenghan Metals, focusing on the production of wheel rims from innovative alloys.
Qian Yong, General Director of the Chongqing Hongcaofang Winery, which produces approximately 300,000 tons of alcoholic beverages annually, including the Heishengu brand of Chinese baijiu, brought product samples for Russian partners. He expressed readiness both to supply his products to the Russian market and to organize production using his own facilities.
Wang Hui, Representative of the Southwestern Branch of Shandong Gaoyuan Oil and Gas Equipment Co., announced that his company has already signed an agreement with the SLC Group for the supply of equipment and components for oil and gas fields in Russia. Following the directive of FBA EAC President Li Shuobing, the objective now is to scale up current volumes by a factor of two to three.
The delegation also included Liu Qiang, Head of the Trade and Retail Division at Chengyi Cheng; Kuang Jing, Head of the Chongqing Representative Office of Yadea (electric vehicles); Yi Shuhao, General Director of an architectural firm, who plans to expand the sales of electrical goods through Russian e-commerce platforms Ozon and Wildberries; and Chen Ping, Sales Director of a biopharmaceutical company.
During the meeting, the Chinese entrepreneurs presented their projects in detail and outlined specific requests for their Russian partners. The parties explored cooperation opportunities across a wide range of areas, including the supply of equipment for the oil and gas sector, joint projects in power engineering and biotechnology, the establishment of joint manufacturing facilities, the development of e-commerce, cooperation in sports and culture, as well as legal support for bilateral transactions. FBA EAC representatives confirmed their readiness to facilitate direct contacts with Russian member companies of the Association and to provide informational support regarding market entry into Russia.
Continuing the FBA EAC's systematic work with Russian regions to attract foreign investment and develop industrial cooperation, Maxim Trofimenko presented the investment potential of the Voronezh Region. With investments in fixed capital reaching 1.7 trillion rubles, the region is one of Russia's largest industrial hubs. In 2025, the regional industrial production index stood at 107.6%, and the volume of shipped manufactured goods exceeded 1 trillion rubles. The Voronezh Region is a leader in the Central Federal District in agricultural and dairy production. The region is home to the Center Special Economic Zone, the Pavlovsk Advanced Special Economic Zone, and industrial parks covering a total area of over 1,500 hectares, which offer substantial tax incentives to residents. The Chongqing delegation expressed keen interest in exploring the region's investment opportunities.
Following the meeting, the parties reached agreements to continue the dialogue and develop specific cooperation mechanisms, including the organization of a reciprocal visit by a Russian delegation to Chongqing. The participants also discussed the possibility of Chinese entrepreneurs taking part in upcoming FBA EAC events.

FBA EAC Hosts Business Meeting with Delegation from Chongqing
On August 26, 2026, the headquarters of the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment hosted a working meeting with a delegation of entrepreneurs and government officials from Chongqing. As one of the largest cities in China and the world, Chongqing boasts a population of over 32 million. With a GDP exceeding 400 billion US dollars, the city serves as a major economic and consumer hub.
