The meeting participants highlighted a serious issue with modern neural networks: algorithmic bias. By default, most AI models rely on Western information sources (such as the Financial Times or The New York Times), which inevitably leads to a one-sided presentation of facts. To avoid the dominance of an exclusively Western narrative, algorithms must be purposefully trained to recognize and fairly rank information sources.
The processing of information for analytical materials is built on multiple iterations: a human specialist continuously analyzes intermediate results and adjusts the input data. As a result, the final analytical briefing includes not only a machine-generated summary of facts but also expert commentary.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Committee Chairman Sergey Korotkov and Marco Fernandez agreed to prepare fresh analytical materials timed to the recently concluded BRICS Summit. Speaking in his capacity as a public analyst and journalist, Mr. Fernandez summarized: it is precisely a human expert's deep understanding of geopolitical nuances that makes it possible to produce high-quality analytical briefings.
