The parties highlighted the significant potential of the BRICS platform for the development of advanced medical technologies, which can be fully realized through the establishment of systematic cooperation among partners across the member states of the association. To advance specific areas of collaboration, the participants discussed the possibility of organizing and participating in thematic events hosted by or involving the respective parties.
In particular, the parties explored avenues for cooperation within the framework of the International "Zdravnitsa" Forum, which is scheduled to take place in 2027 in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan. This initiative is of strategic importance for positioning Ufa as a Russian BRICS hub, which, among its other roles, plays a significant part in fostering engagement with the Islamic world.
A matter of particular importance was the discussion of various aspects of international engagement, including cooperation with Cairo University and partners in South Africa. Additionally, the participants discussed the organization of a Russian-Mongolian Medical Forum and engagement with consumers of Russian medical equipment in Mongolia, including the framework of the emerging cross-border digital healthcare cooperation program.
The parties emphasized the high potential of a joint approach to implementing prospective projects aimed at advancing the medical industry and introducing cutting-edge practices and technologies. This encompasses efforts in the prevention and diagnosis of cardiovascular risks, as well as the integration of traditional Chinese medicine techniques. Furthermore, the projects under discussion hold substantial potential for commercial viability and successful implementation.

FBA EAC Discussed Cooperation with BRICS Countries in the Field of Medical Technologies
On May 22, 2026, a business meeting was held at the headquarters of FBA EAC, located at 17 Kotelnicheskaya Embankment, Moscow. The meeting brought together representatives of the RUIE Commission on the Defense Industry, Elena Shuraeva, President of the BRICS Health Coalition, and Arkady Goryaev, Director of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "EXPERTMED".
