Industrial Cooperation was Discussed at Shanghai Science and Innovation Bay
On April 20, 2026, the "Industrial Cooperation" session was held as part of the business program of the first day of the II Eurasian Financial and Economic Forum in Shanghai's Science and Innovation Bay. The session was moderated by Zhang Shiqiao, Director of the Foreign Investment Attraction Department of the State-owned Bonded Port Development Corporation, and Sergey Korotkov, Advisor to the FBA EAC President and Senior Advisor to the Head of the UNIDO Office in Russia.
At a session dedicated to current challenges and prospects for the development of modern industry, participants discussed new aspects of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), the transition to a green economy and global energy transition, as well as the prospects for industrial cooperation, taking into account scientific, technological, and educational opportunities.
The discussion focused on intellectual property in the digital environment, including the protection of rights, the fight against counterfeit goods, the protection of content, and the development of creative industries. The participants also discussed the role and practical aspects of using AI in modern production chains, as well as the prospects for cooperation with relevant international institutions, including UNIDO and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The focus was on harmonizing approaches to the protection of intellectual rights as a key condition for the successful launch of joint high-tech production facilities.
Li Lianzhong, the head of the Jinshan branch of the Shanghai Federation of Modern Services, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the organizers.
Among the prominent speakers at the session are: Zhao Saola, Co-Director of the Research Institute of Industrial Development and Green Growth at the United Nations and Shanghai University of Transport, and Head of the Office for Promotion of Investment and Technology in Shanghai at UNIDO; Yuri Razumny, Director of the RUDN Engineering Academy, who presented on the scientific aspects of industrial cooperation in science and education; Zhang Yuanfei, Director of Strategic Development at the Junca Guannan Research Institute of Energy in Chongqing; Eugene Bazhov, General Representative of the Russian Export Center in China, who discussed the Chinese model of localization; Liu Junyan, Director of the International Affairs Center at Citeng Robotics; Timur Arutyunov, Advisor to the Secretary-General of the Assembly of Peoples of the World, on the topic "Values that Unite: The Economy of the New World"; Li Yijun, Deputy CEO of the Shanghai International Branch of China Post Express Logistics; Song Qiong, Director of Marketing at Hunan Yuxiang Food Company; Qing Gaohui, Deputy CEO of the Foreign Business Center of Kaiwo Alternative Energy Vehicles Company; Yin Pu, CEO of the Shanghai Branch of Hangzhou XIAO Elevators Company; Huang Xiansheng, Senior Partner of Guangdong Yuanchuang Digital Technology; Ma Haizhang, Shareholder and Business Director of the East China Branch of the Pingyao Yonghua Foundry Company (Shanxi); Luo Si, Overseas Sales Director of Beijing Zhongke Huiyan; Zhang Guoqin, Raysolution PET General Representative for the Southwestern Region; Cheng Jingjin, Director of the Marketing and Service Center, General Director of Foreign Markets at Pingyao Gearboxes (Shanxi).
At the end of the session, the participants noted that there are solutions to remove technical barriers in the Eurasian industry, but they are still scattered. The main task is to put them together in a system and present them to the Russian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission for Investment Cooperation. The proposals made during the discussion will be included in the final package of initiatives for the forum.
