Alexander Murychev spoke at an open meeting of the Financial Markets Association “Council for Professional Qualifications Development”

On June 27, 2025, the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics hosted an open meeting of the Financial Markets Association “Council for Professional Qualifications Development” (SPKFR is a member of FBA EAC), which summarized the results of work for the year 2024 and outlined priorities for the future. The discussion focused on the issues of matching education with the needs of the labor market, developing a system of qualifications and improving the independent assessment of the competencies of the financial sector specialists.

Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board and Chairman of SPKFR, became the key speaker of the meeting. In his speech, he stressed the importance of dialogue between business, the state and the educational community for the formation of a modern training system. He paid special attention to the need to adapt educational programs to the changing demands of employers and strengthen the institution of independent assessment of qualifications as a mechanism of trust in the level of training of specialists.

According to Alexander Murychev, in 2024, the Council organized more than 4,000 professional examinations, updated a number of professional standards, including qualifications in financial consulting, internal audit and investment project management, and continued to implement professional and public accreditation programs. “We are not just summarizing the results, but talking about a systemic transformation: qualifications are becoming a living instrument for economic development,” he said.

The event was attended by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Finance, the State Duma, the Bank of Russia, VCIOM, as well as leading universities, colleges and employers.

The open format of the meeting allowed different parties — from government agencies to representatives of industry councils — to speak on strategically important issues. In conclusion, Alexander Murychev expressed confidence that it is the joint work of all members of the professional community that will make it possible to form a flexible and sustainable personnel training system capable of meeting the challenges of the time.
