Tourism Session of the 12th Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum “BRICS: New Horizons of Partnership” to Convene Experts at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On November 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM, the tourism session of the 12th Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum “BRICS: New Horizons of Partnership” will be held at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (6 Ilyinka, Moscow). The session will be moderated by Marina Nesterenko, Head of the FBA EAC Committee for International Cooperation and Tourism, Member of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Council for Financial, Industrial and Investment Policy, and General Director of the Eurasian-African Club for Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation. The session was officially approved during the second meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 12th Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum, which was chaired on October 6, 2026, by Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Chairman of the Board of the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation, and Vice President of the RUIE.

1 The international tourism session within the framework of the 12th Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum sets an agenda aimed at translating strategic dialogue into practical, actionable cooperation. Session participants will discuss the application of artificial intelligence and digital platforms in tourism, responsible tourism and support for local communities, the creative economy and cultural tourism, business and event tourism (MICE), industrial tourism, and workforce development for the industry.

The key question to be addressed is how to translate the tourism potential of BRICS into tangible economic outcomes. Today, the member countries account for a third of the world's landmass and nearly half of its population, yet the average share of tourism in their economies stands at just 4.8%, compared to 8% in countries with highly developed tourism sectors. The industry is currently valued at $5.4 trillion and, according to expert estimates, could nearly double to reach $8–10 trillion by 2035.

The foundation for the discussion will be the Jaipur Declaration, adopted by the BRICS Tourism Ministers. It outlines four key focus areas: artificial intelligence and the digitalization of travel, sustainable development and heritage preservation, workforce development, and the streamlining of cross-border travel. Special attention will be given to the Russian delegation's proposal to establish the BRICS Enogastronomic Tourism Association, which was announced at the annual meeting of the tourism ministers of the member countries.

Following the tourism session, participants will consolidate proposals aimed at advancing financial, technological, and creative cooperation in the tourism sector. The participants are focused on identifying practical solutions that can facilitate business engagement between BRICS countries and provide new impetus to joint projects.

Attendance at the Forum is free of charge, with no organizational fee required. Space is limited; please register at the following link: nine-functional-hanger.tilda.ws/page2611.
