RSPP: Shanghai discusses the ways of cooperation in the spheres of finance, technology and culture in Eurasia

The Eurasian Financial and Economic Forum was held in Shanghai to discuss the future of the global financial system, digitalization of finance, and investment in industry.

Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, speaking at the plenary session, said that the global economy and trade are now being seriously tested and sustainable development can only be achieved through cooperation in all spheres.  

‘The global economy, trade and investment are now undergoing serious tests, the fragmentation of the globaltrade is taking place. Only through cooperation in the spheres of finance, technology and culture can a sustainable and inclusive development model be created,’ Alexander Shokhin said.

Alexander Murychev, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, noted that the integration of the partner countries' efforts will make it possible to successfully cope with modern challenges and build a qualitatively new economy. One of the key success factors is the integration of all spheres of life – digitalization, investment, technology and culture. It is coordinated actions that will make it possible to realize the set goals and reach a new level of economic interaction. 

‘This forum demonstrates that our countries are not just neighbors: we are partners ready to meet the challenges of the time together. Digitalization, investment, technology, and culture – these are all links in the same chain. And it is only by joining forces that we will be able to build the very “qualitatively new economy” that is so much talked about today,’ he added.
