A business meeting of members of FBA EAC and RSPP with representatives of Brazilian business circles was held in Moscow.
The event, held at the FBA EAC headquarters, was dedicated to expanding trade and investment cooperation between Russia and Brazil.
The participants discussed:
- Prospects for bilateral cooperation amid growing trade turnover of the two countries.
- Coordination within the BRICS framework.
- Problems of international payments and ways to solve them.
- Promising areas for investment – food industry, banking sector, pharmacy and fertilizers, natural gas (LNG), auto industry, mining and heavy industry.
- Peculiarities of the entry of Russian companies into Latin American markets.
- The role of business associations in the development of entrepreneurship.
Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs:
‘Today's meeting confirmed the mutual interest in deepening trade and investment cooperation between Russia and Brazil. The steady growth of trade turnover, coordination within the BRICS framework and the desire to address pressing issues – such as international settlements and access to new markets – form a solid basis for launching joint projects and building a long-term strategic partnership.’
As a result of the discussion, it was decided to launch regular sectoral meetings with the participation of the business circles of the two countries in the format of business visits and online broadcasts.
