Official Meeting on Eurasian Integration with FBA EAC and EEC Representatives
On May 14, a working meeting was convened to address the practical implementation of long-term priorities for Eurasian integration. This meeting followed discussions at the roundtable "Main Directions of the EAEU Economic Development 2045: A Business Strategy" held on April 2, 2026. The primary focus was on developing strategies for creating a unified economic space and enhancing the competitiveness of member states' industries.
The attendees included Anna Bezdudnaya, CEO of FBA EAC and Editor-in-Chief of the FBA EAC Herald, Alexander Kotlyarsky, FBA EAC First Vice-President and Head of the Industry Committee, Doctor of Science, and Andrey Panteleev, Head of the Economic Policy Strategies Department at the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). The discussion centered on key areas of economic development requiring coordinated efforts from both the business community and supranational institutions.
Key topics addressed included the harmonization of technical standards, particularly the adoption of interstate GOST standarts, the establishment of conditions for uninterrupted financial settlements using national currencies, the development of training programs for high-tech industry personnel, and the prospects for digitalization and the integration of artificial intelligence into the real economy. Additionally, the mutual recognition of qualifications and educational standards was highlighted as a crucial component for achieving technological sovereignty.
The participants emphasized the necessity of ongoing dialogue between business communities and supranational structures to develop balanced approaches to realizing the EAEU's economic development strategy through 2045. They underscored that the sustainable advancement of integration processes necessitates regular alignment of positions and a comprehensive assessment of current challenges, including technological and financial constraints.
The parties expressed their commitment to continued collaboration and agreed to maintain ongoing consultations in preparation for future expert events. They noted that a systematic dialogue facilitates the translation of strategic guidelines into actionable mechanisms, thereby meeting the demands of businesses and EAEU member states.
