On May 23, 2026, the Russian Motorcyclists Club organized an opening of the motorcycle season in Romania, backed by the Russian-Romanian Chamber of Economic and Cultural Cooperation and Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation. As in previous years, the event brought together motorcyclists and enthusiasts from Romania, Serbia, Moldova, and other nations, fostering a spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and solidarity.
The opening ceremony was a civic, cultural, and commemorative event aimed at promoting responsibility, raising awareness about road safety, and honoring historical memory, particularly the victims of World War II. The organizers underscored that such events are peaceful public initiatives conducted in strict compliance with Romanian legislation, European values, and principles of interpersonal and community dialogue.
A wreath was laid at the ceremony to commemorate the 81st anniversary of the Victory over fascism and all the victims of World War II. The event was attended by representatives from the Russian Embassy in Romania, FBA EAC, the Russian-Romanian Chamber of Economic and Cultural Cooperation, and the Russian Motorcyclists Club. Romanian and Russian soldiers, as well as representatives from other nations that contributed to the victory over fascism and the restoration of peace in Europe, were honored during this solemn occasion.
International organizations and guests from various countries also attended the event, including representatives from the Russian Embassy in Romania, who delivered messages emphasizing respect, peace, historical memory, and the rapprochement of nations.
Tudor Afanasov, Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in Romania and a member of the FBA EAC Board, as well as Head of the FBA EAC International Committee on Humanitarian and Social Policy, Charity, and Patronage, actively participated in the organization and implementation of the event.
