The forum is designed as a platform to translate the strategic BRICS dialogue into the realm of concrete joint projects. Over the past five years, the member countries have accounted for 49% of global GDP growth, compared to 18% for the G7. In terms of purchasing power parity, BRICS accounts for 40% of global GDP. These figures provide a solid foundation for discussing a new architecture of the global economy, in which BRICS acts not merely as a political and diplomatic association, but as a primary driver of a new world order.

The day’s program at 17 Kotelnicheskaya Embankment is centered around two main events. The financial session, "International Financial Partnership in the New Reality" (11:00–13:00, moderated by Alexey Kazartsev, Head of the International Banking Committee of the FBA EAC), will cover payment systems and settlements, investment and project financing, funding for innovation and SMEs, and regulatory interaction. The discussion will focus on national currencies and direct clearing, the integration of Mir, UnionPay, UPI, VNPay, and PromptPay, the role of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs), investment protection within the Russia–China–India triangle, intellectual property-backed financing, and the harmonization of compliance standards.
The plenary session (14:00–17:00, moderated by Alexey Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences) will bring together top-level figures in diplomacy, business, and finance. Among the invited speakers are the President of RUIE Alexander Shokhin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and BRICS Sherpa Sergey Ryabkov, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC and General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva, as well as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of friendly nations.
The forum program also includes two additional events to be held at partner venues on dates to be announced in due course:
The expected outcomes of the forum include practical recommendations for simplifying cross-border settlements, initiatives to launch joint financing pilot programs with banks from Russia, China, India, Vietnam, and Thailand, and a roadmap for unified intellectual property valuation standards for lending purposes.

On November 26, 2026, the XII Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum "BRICS: New Horizons of Partnership" will be held in Moscow at 17 Kotelnicheskaya Embankment. The event is organized by the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation (FBA EAC).
