Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board, spoke at the joint meeting of the Russian Union of Chemists Council and the RSPP Commission on the chemical industry
On the 27th of March, 2025, a joint meeting of the Russian Union of Chemists Council (RUC) and the RSPP Commission on the chemical industry was held in Moscow, attended by Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board, Vice-President of RSPP.
In his speech, Alexander Murychev noted that within the framework of the national project “New Materials and Chemistry” 55 critically important technological chains are to be recreated, which by 2030 will ensure a RUB1 trillion increase in value added. Alexander Murychev emphasized that the systematic work of all the participants of innovation processes is required to achieve technological sovereignty.
Special attention was paid to the development of low- and medium-tonnage chemistry, as well as to the key areas of the national project: composite materials, rare-earth metals and biotechnology. It is planned to allocate 55.6 billion rubles from the Federal budget for its implementation in 2025-2027.
Alexander Murychev also spoke about the Import Substitution Forum held in February as part of the Russian Business Week-2025, where the mechanisms for the participation of businesses in the country's technological development were discussed. He noted that the chemical industry plays a key role in ensuring Russia's technological sovereignty.
