Mr. Liu Zihua, a senior representative of the Xinhua News Agency, participated in the XI Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum. During his welcoming address, Mr. Liu Zihua highlighted the strategic significance of the forum for fostering cooperation within Greater Eurasia. As one of the organizers of the Eurasian Economic Forum, Xinhua systematically channels key initiatives of the platform to the relevant authorities of China, facilitating the translation of ideas into actionable guidelines for cooperation.

Mr. Liu Zihua identified the forum's key achievements as the development of a cohesive approach to addressing global uncertainties through open dialogue, where technological advancements are seamlessly integrated with humanitarian values, as well as the establishment of a multi-tiered network of business contacts between government agencies, corporations, and financial institutions in the region, thereby expediting the implementation of joint projects. He emphasized the analytical role of the forum as a crucial practical function, noting that Xinhua, leveraging its global correspondent network, systematically compiles and disseminates forum initiatives to promptly inform Chinese stakeholders. "Consequently, the forum is evolving into a pivotal reference point in shaping the architecture of cooperation between Russia, China, and other Eurasian states at the highest levels, and its influence is gradually shifting from an informational to a strategic dimension," stated the agency's representative.

Among the priorities for future collaborative efforts, the Xinhua representative outlined three key areas:

  • upholding the stability of the international system based on the principles of the United Nations Charter and multilateralism;

  • transforming Eurasia into a region of interconnectedness through the harmonization of financial, trade, scientific, and technological mechanisms;

  • promoting the development of a "trust economy" and strengthening humanitarian ties, including enhancing Xinhua's cooperation with TASS and other media organizations.

Mr. Liu Zihua noted that in the context of profound global transformations, Russia and China are recognized as strategic partners and pivotal elements in shaping a more equitable world order. According to him, the future of Greater Eurasia hinges on the collective decisions made at this critical juncture. The Xinhua News Agency is committed to continuing its contributions to the enhancement of strategic cooperation between the two nations, working towards the stability and prosperity of the region.
