Collection of Materials from the International Banking Council Published Following Shanghai Meeting

On April 21, 2026, within the framework of the II Eurasian Financial and Economic Forum held in Shanghai, an open session of the International Coordinating Council of Banking Associations (International Banking Council, IBC) took place under the theme: "Banks and Digital Platforms: Models of Cooperation and Competition. Seeking Balance."

Following the session, the International Coordinating Council of Banking Associations has prepared and published a compendium of analytical materials, featuring contributions from experts representing Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

The publication includes:

– An analysis of the current state and development prospects of digital payment ecosystems;
– Reviews of national regulatory practices governing interactions between banks and digital platforms;
– Statistical data on the banking sectors of participating countries;
– Legislative initiatives and proposals aimed at harmonizing regulatory approaches to the platform economy.

The materials contained in this compendium are intended for use by banking associations, credit institutions, financial regulators, and market professionals to support the development of balanced, coordinated approaches to advancing digital financial services across the Eurasian region.
