Education, Finance, and Medicine: FBA EAC to Pool Efforts with BRICS Partners
On June 10, 2026, a working meeting took place at the FBA EAC headquarters, located at 17 Kotelnicheskaya Embankment. FBA EAC General Director and Editor-in-Chief of the FBA EAC Herald Anna Bezdudnaya met with Elena Shuraeva, President of the BRICS Health Coalition, and Arkady Goryaev, Director of ANO EXPERTMED.
The meeting served as a continuation of the business dialogue initiated on May 22, 2026, at FBA EAC with the participation of representatives from the RUIE Commission on the Defense Industry. During that session, the parties discussed the significant potential of the BRICS platform for advancing cutting-edge medical technologies, opportunities for hosting and participating in thematic events—including the Zdravnitsa International Forum (2027, Ufa)—as well as prospects for a Russian-Mongolian medical forum and cross-border digital healthcare cooperation.
During today’s meeting, Anna Bezdudnaya, Elena Shuraeva, and Arkady Goryaev continued discussing practical steps to implement joint projects. An agreement was reached to coordinate efforts across several areas of FBA EAC’s activities. Specifically, collaboration will be established with the FBA EAC Committee on Science and Education (Head: Alexander Melerzanov) regarding educational programs and workforce training for the medical industry, as well as with the FBA EAC International Banking Committee (Chairman: Alexey Kazartsev) concerning project financing and investment attraction.
The parties also outlined plans to sign a cooperation agreement between FBA EAC and the BRICS Health Coalition. This document will formalize joint efforts to develop medical technologies, implement advanced practices for the prevention and diagnosis of cardiovascular risks, and apply traditional Chinese medicine techniques.
Anna Bezdudnaya highlighted the significant potential of these joint projects, emphasizing their importance for promoting Russian regions—particularly positioning Ufa as a BRICS hub in the Islamic world—and their strong commercial prospects for all cooperation participants.
