Manish Kumar participated in the RUIE meeting with the Indian business delegation
On May 22, 2026, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs convened a meeting with a delegation of investors from India to discuss the prospects for a long-term Russian-Indian business partnership and the implementation of joint investment projects, as well as practical issues of cooperation under ongoing sanctions pressure.
Manish Kumar, the Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in India, Co-Chairman of the RUIE International Council for Cooperation and Investments, and President of Soltex Group, presented the advantages of entering the Russian market through a trusted partner, namely the Russian-Indian Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.Dr. Keshava Sudhakar, the head of the Indian delegation and a prominent Indian politician, emphasized the interest of Indian companies in collaborating with Russian partners in sectors such as energy, fertilizer production, mining, pharmaceuticals, food processing, industrial manufacturing, and high technology. He highlighted that Indian business perceives cooperation with Russia as a strategic, long-term initiative rooted in historically friendly relations between the two nations.
The meeting was moderated by Anna Solovyova, Managing Director of the Department of International Bilateral Cooperation of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. She noted that, pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Confederation of Indian Industry, which was updated in December 2025, a Russian-Indian Committee was established under the auspices of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs to facilitate practical and operational cooperation with Indian partners.
The participants also addressed logistics, financial transactions, legal frameworks, tariff policies, and the specifics of implementing joint investment projects amid current foreign economic conditions. The Russian representatives underscored the importance for Indian companies interested in enhancing their positions in the Russian market to actively pursue promising niches in the current environment.
