Results of the 2025 FBA EAC Annual Review
For any public organization, compiling an annual report is a process of synthesizing a comprehensive overview from various individual contributions. We are grateful for the collective efforts of all team members, encompassing strategic planning and impeccable execution. The year 2025 was a successful one for FBA EAC, as it was characterized by the coordinated work of the entire team, ranging from analysts to organizers, experts to photographers. In the concluding publications, we acknowledge the individuals, decisions, and events that contributed to this outcome, presenting them in the form of recognition and appreciation.
Man of the Year: Mr. Li Shuobing
Under the strategic leadership of the President of FBA EAC has solidified its position as the premier domestic platform for global dialogue. Mr. Li Shuobing personally conducted high-level negotiations with Iran, made strategic visits to Almaty and the Vologda Region, and represented the Association as an expert at the BRICS Conference and the leading scientific conference at St. Petersburg State University. Under his direct guidance, the principal international projects of the year were successfully implemented, including the Eurasian Financial and Economic Forum in Shanghai and the XI Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum, both organized in partnership with RUIE.
Partner of the Year: Alexander Shokhin
RUIE, as a key institutional ally, collaborates with the Association at major international forums (Moscow, Shanghai) and negotiates with foreign delegations (Madagascar, Nepal), as well as in the field of information policy. The personal participation of the President of RUIE, Alexander Shokhin, in critical events enhances the cooperation's status and effectiveness.
Leader of the Year: Alexander Murychev
The Chairman of the FBA EAC Board participated in more than three dozen key events, ranging from CAFBF-2025 and the Moscow Financial Forum to meetings with industrialists in Kaliningrad and dialogues with the Eurasian Economic Commission. These activities provided the Association with a stable voice in the Russian business and expert agendas.
Expert of the Year: Alexey Kazartsev
Alexey Kazartsev, as Chairman of the International Banking Committee of FBA EAC, elevated the Association's expertise to the level of shaping the global financial agenda. He advocated for the inclusion of "green" economy financing, particularly environmental transport (EGT), among the priorities of the New Development Bank (NDB).
Strategist of the Year: Alexander Melerzanov
Alexander Melerzanov, as Chairman of the Committee on Science and Education of FBA EAC, personally ensured the representation of the scientific and technological dimension at the Shanghai forum, linking financial discussions with innovation topics. He also laid the groundwork for the transformation of scientific knowledge into a strategic asset for the Association by initiating the creation of a specialized body dedicated to the continuous introduction of advanced scientific research and development into business practices.
Practitioner of the Year: Alexander Kotlyarsky
Under Alexander Kotlyarsky's initiative and leadership, the Committee on Industry was established to address specific industry challenges and foster cooperation in the real sector of the economy. He personally conducts negotiations with technology leaders and works with future personnel.
The Voice of the Year: Sergey Korotkov
At key industry platforms, Sergey Korotkov, Adviser to the President of FBA EAC, articulated the Association's expert position on the most relevant topics, covering issues such as future energy, digital assets, and "green" transformation. His role as a leading industry speaker was confirmed by his participation at prestigious events such as the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum and INNOPROM.
Mentor of the Year: Evgeny Bazhov
Evgeny Bazhov, a professional coach (PCC ICF), synthesizes global leadership standards derived from Marshall Goldsmith and the psychological school of academician Mikhail Litvak into a unique methodology. As head of the FBA EAC representative office in China, he conducted a three-hour seminar in Chinese for students of the Executive MBA (EMBA) program at Fudan University School of Management in Shanghai.
Educator of the Year — Tudor Afanasov
The Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in Romania has been approved for the educational mission as an integral component of the Association's activities. By leading a newly established international committee, he has transformed the work on historical memory, language, and culture into a strategic priority. His personal participation in the "Memory of the Winners" forum and the XVII Assembly of the Russian World, as well as the receipt of a government award, the Honorary Compatriot Badge, has ensured the highest level of trust and recognition for this activity.
Intelligence of the Year — Anna Bezdudnaya
The chief editor of the FBA EAC Herald holds a highly competent position in the fields of ESG, decarbonization, and sustainable development. Her expertise was in demand at the highest level: she was appointed as a representative of the Association at a closed session of the Gazprom Scientific and Technical Council and served as an expert at the VI International Arctic Forum. These activities have solidified the reputation of FBA EAC as a center of competence in responsible business and addressing global challenges.
Diplomat of the Year — Mr. Manish Kumar
The Deputy Chairman of the FBA EAC Board has been recognized for his significant contribution to Russian-Indian relations by his inclusion in the supreme diplomatic mission of the Russian Federation to India. This designation by the official authorities represents an unprecedented acknowledgment of his personal achievements and the role of FBA EAC as a bridge between two nations.
Citation of the Year — Mr. Gao Qi
The General Representative of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (ССPIT) delivered a statement at the XI Moscow International Forum on Economic Development (MIFEF) highlighting that after expansion, BRICS countries account for nearly half of the world's population, approximately 30% of global GDP, and one-fifth of international trade. This underscores BRICS' importance as a constructive force in promoting global economic growth, enhancing global governance, and democratizing international relations.
Integrator of the Year — Bakhytbek Bayseitov
As Chairman of the FBA EAC Business Council, Bakhytbek Bayseitov has emerged as the principal conduit for the Association's interests in Central Asia. By seamlessly integrating the strategic goals of the Association with regional opportunities, he has facilitated new partnerships and projects. The conferment of the title "Honorary Member of FBA EAC" is a direct acknowledgment of his role in guiding the Association through the complex economic landscape of the region.
Author of the Year — Anton Vasiliev
Anton Vasiliev, a member of FBA EAC, has strengthened the intellectual foundation of the Association through the publication of a comprehensive monograph on strategic planning in the construction industry. His deep industry expertise, presented in a clear and accessible manner, serves as a strategic asset, enhancing decision-making processes and fostering dialogue between business and government in a critical sector of the Eurasian economy.
Camertone of the Year — Vladimir Kotenev
Vladimir Kotenev, a member of the Management Board and Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in Germany, sets high standards for international dialogue. His impeccable diplomatic reputation, extensive experience as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and profound understanding of government processes enable him to establish precise benchmarks in interactions with partners of the highest caliber.
Event of the Year — EFEF-2025
The inaugural major gathering of Russian and Chinese business circles, dedicated to identifying new drivers of growth post-pandemic, convened over 500 representatives from government agencies, financial institutions, technology companies, and cultural organizations in Europe and Asia. Organized by FBA EAC, RUIE, the Association of Banks of Russia, and the China Investment Promotion Agency, the forum in Shanghai provided a platform for robust dialogue on mutual cooperation.
Forum of the Year — XI MIFEF
At the forum, experts deliberated on financial and banking cooperation, the role of BRICS in global economic transformation, digital transformation of industry and the economy, and the economy of trust. The plenary session focused on key aspects of Eurasian economic partnership. The event's online streaming in Russian, English, and Chinese facilitated participation from diverse countries. Recommendations developed were formalized in an official communique.
Instrument of the Year — MTZ-Synthetic Gold Index (MTZGC)
Developed by scientists from the Scientific Research Institute "Innovative Financial Instruments and Technologies" at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, under the leadership of Sergey Ryabukhin, the MTZGC model serves as a prototype for a sovereign digital asset. Designed for cross-border settlements, it aims to enhance financial independence and foster cooperation within organizations such as BRICS, SCO, and EAEU.
Opening of the Year — Innovative Product "Sweet Protein"
The Committee on Science and Education of FBA EAC launched its activities with the "Sweet Protein" project. This geroprotective product, developed by young scientists at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, combines amino acids and prebiotics. It is intended as a healthy alternative to sugar for individuals with diabetes and in dietary and functional nutrition applications.
Scientific Asset of the Year — The FBA EAC Herald
The research contributions of FBA EAC leaders form the foundation of the Association's authority. The Herald has been awarded an international standard serial number (ISSN), successfully passed peer review, and is included in the Russian Scientific Electronic Library (eLibrary.ru), integrated with the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).
Publication of the Year — Monograph by Mr. Li Shuobing
"Development of Ecological and Economic Approaches and Digital Tools for Enhancing Decision-Making Processes in Enterprises" is the culmination of years of scientific work by Mr. Li. The book provides practical tools such as algorithms and models for assessing environmental projects and managing investment and innovation strategies.
Interview of the Year — Series of Expert Materials for Xinhua
The joint media project between FBA EAC and RUIE focused on deepening economic dialogue between Russia and China, marking a significant achievement in public diplomacy and positioning the Association and Union. Xinhua publications provided unprecedented access to the Chinese business and government audience. Mr. Liu Zihua's participation in the XI MIFEF underscored the strong media relations between the Russian Federation and the PRC.
Media Resonance of the Year — Round Table "The Potential of Africa's Mining Industry: New Opportunities for Cooperation with Russia and China"
Held during the Russia-Africa Expo 2025, the event brought together over 70 representatives from business and diplomatic circles in 15 countries. Extensive media coverage by African media of various formats highlighted the relevance of dialogue on the FBA EAC platform among the business community, experts, and government agencies across the continent.
