Tudor Afanasov spoke at the XVII Assembly of the Russian World in Moscow

The XVII Assembly of the Russian World is taking place in Moscow on October 20–22, 2025. It is one of the key international events dedicated to the preservation of spiritual and cultural values, the promotion of the Russian language, and the strengthening of humanitarian cooperation. The forum's main theme, 'The Fundamental Contribution of the Russian World to International Development: History, Modernity, Future,' has brought together representatives of science, culture, diplomacy, business, and public organizations from dozens of countries.

Tudor Afanasov, a Member of the Board of the FBA EAC and Chairman of The Romanian-Russian Chamber of Economic and Cultural Cooperation Association (CCECRR), took part in the work of the Assembly. He spoke at the session “The 100th Anniversary of People's Diplomacy as a Way to Strengthen Cultural Unity” with a presentation titled “Diplomacy of Hearts as a Path to Trust, Cooperation, and Peace”.

In his speech, Tudor Afanasov emphasized that people's diplomacy is born not in offices, but in hearts, and it is this diplomacy that becomes the foundation for genuine trust between countries and their peoples. He noted that the activities of The Romanian-Russian Chamber of Economic and Cultural Cooperation Association (CCECRR) have served as an example of effectively combining culture, business, and human relations for over a decade.

Tudor Afanasov focused particularly on the role of the FBA EAC in strengthening economic diplomacy and developing humanitarian principles within the business community. He stressed that the FBA EAC transforms economic interaction into a space of trust and joint development, uniting banks, corporations, investment funds, and innovative companies across Eurasia. “The economy can be an instrument of peace if it is built on trust,” he noted. “Through the FBA EAC’s projects in sustainable development, green energy, and digital technologies, we demonstrate that financial cooperation can serve a humanitarian mission — bringing people and countries closer together.”

The FBA EAC’s participation in such a significant forum highlights the Association's role in promoting the values of trust, partnership, and responsible economic cooperation across the Eurasian space.
