FBA EAC Approves Three-Year Strategy and Expands International Presence
On June 30, 2026, a meeting of the Board of the Financial and Business Association of FBA EAC was held in Moscow. During the meeting, key decisions were made defining the Association's development trajectory for the medium term, and new directions for international activities were approved.
Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Board Alexander Murychev noted that the FBA EAC is entering a new stage in its evolution—from organizational formation to systematic expert and project-based work.
The main item on the agenda was the approval of the Comprehensive Work Plan of the FBA EAC for 2026–2028. The document was adopted unanimously and serves as a comprehensive roadmap covering more than fifty events of various formats, ranging from round tables and business missions to major international forums. A key emphasis is placed on strengthening the international vector: the geographic scope of the Association's activities now includes the BRICS countries, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
As Alexander Murychev emphasized, the success of the plan's implementation depends directly on the coordinated efforts of all the Association's divisions: "Committees do not operate in isolation from the Executive Directorate. Our task is to ensure unity of action, clear coordination, and mutual support. This will enable us not merely to host events, but to achieve tangible results for our members and partners."
Significant attention was devoted to preparations for the III Russia–Africa Summit, which will take place in Moscow on October 27–29, 2026. A decision was made to hold a separate business breakfast with African partners two to three weeks prior to the summit. This will help avoid an overloaded agenda, establish direct business contacts, and approach the summit with specific agreements in place. To organize the event, partner organizations Afrocom and African Initiative, which possess extensive networks on the continent, are being engaged. "African colleagues need a dynamic business dialogue. We are ready to offer them a practical platform for developing concrete solutions. Our task is not just to participate, but to create real value for both sides," noted the Chairman of the Board.
Instead of establishing a separate country-specific committee, a decision was made to concentrate efforts within a broader structure. Given that India holds the BRICS presidency and the FBA EAC is already participating in two working groups of the BRICS Business Council, a Subcommittee on BRICS Countries is being established within the existing International Committee. Priorities include facilitating the removal of administrative barriers, expanding settlements in national currencies, promoting high-tech industries, supporting joint ventures, and developing humanitarian and educational ties. Plans also include signing an agreement with a leading Indian business association uniting 150 companies.
The Board unanimously approved the admission of four new organizations to the FBA EAC, each bringing unique expertise to the table. Among them is the Non-Profit Organization "National Association of International Information Security" (NAIIS), which unites leading cybersecurity experts and addresses all six threats outlined in the Presidential Decree. During the discussion, a proposal emerged to establish a specialized Committee on Information Security based on NAIIS.
The outcomes of the Board meeting on June 30, 2026, confirm that the FBA EAC has transitioned to an active phase of practical implementation of its strategic objectives. The approved plans cover key markets and formats of cooperation, ranging from business missions to Africa and Asia to systematic work within the BRICS framework. Ahead lies an extensive agenda aimed at strengthening economic ties, attracting investment, and advancing humanitarian projects across the Eurasian region and beyond.
