The FBA EAC Held Negotiations with the "African Club" on the Sidelines of SPIEF 2026

On the first day of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026) at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation (FBA EAC), represented by its General Director and Editor-in-Chief of the FBA EAC Herald, Anna Bezdudnaya, held a working meeting with Louis Gouend, President of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "African Club".

The parties discussed the implementation of the existing cooperation agreement and the coordination of efforts ahead of the Third Russia–Africa Summit. Particular attention was paid to practical mechanisms of interaction between Eurasian business entities and African partners.

As part of the SPIEF business program, the FBA EAC is holding a series of working meetings with representatives of relevant bodies and business associations. The Association views the forum as an effective platform for advancing international cooperation and strengthening economic ties.

    

This year, the Forum has brought together a record number of participants from 130 countries, including China, the UAE, and, for the first time in many years, an official United States delegation. The overarching theme of SPIEF 2026 is "Pragmatic Dialogue: The Path to a Sustainable Future". On the first day of the business program, the focus was on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises and the impact of artificial intelligence on the economy. At the exhibition, guests were presented with the new LADA Azimut crossover and a Russian humanoid robot.
