Sergey Korotkov has been appointed Chairman of the International Committee for Multilateral Cooperation with BRICS Countries. The Committee will focus on advancing business and expert dialogue among the member states, coordinating joint projects, and shaping a practical cooperation agenda within the BRICS framework.
The Information Security Subcommittee has been established within the Committee on Industry. Anatoly Smirnov, President of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization "National Institute for Global Security Studies," has been appointed as its Head. The Subcommittee will address the protection of industrial enterprises against cyber threats, the harmonization of information security approaches across the EAEU and BRICS countries, and the development of recommendations for implementing information security systems at industrial facilities.
Andrey Lotsmanov, Deputy Chairman of the RUIE Committee on Technical Regulation and Chairman of the Standardization Council under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, has been appointed Chairman of the International Committee on Standardization. The Committee will focus on harmonizing technical regulations and standards across the EAEU and BRICS regions, facilitating the elimination of non-tariff barriers, and developing unified approaches to product conformity assessment.
The establishment of these new entities completes the latest phase in building the expert framework of the FBA EAC, which now comprises seven specialized committees dedicated to the practical implementation of the Association’s strategy.
The Committee on Science and Education, chaired by Alexander Melerzanov, supports scientific research, coordinates youth initiatives, and facilitates the integration of innovative developments into industry and healthcare. It also organizes student project competitions and assists their authors in securing investors.
The International Banking Committee, chaired by Alexey Kazartsev, oversees the development of cross-border settlements in national currencies, the digitalization of payment systems, and the implementation of innovative financial solutions. The Committee is also actively involved in the development of the new BRICS payment system project.
The Committee on Industry, chaired by Alexander Kotlyarsky—which now includes the newly established Information Security Subcommittee—focuses on production localization, the creation of new value chains, and the advancement of technological sovereignty.
Operating at the intersection of politics and economics, the Committee on International Cooperation and Tourism, chaired by Marina Nesterenko, promotes the convergence of standards and the development of sustainable business ties. Tourism is viewed as a vital system that generates employment and stimulates the growth of related industries.
The International Committee on Humanitarian and Social Policy, Charity, and Philanthropy, chaired by Feodor Afanasov, focuses on supporting cultural, educational, and social initiatives. Its activities are aimed at fostering an environment of trust, which serves as the foundation for long-term business cooperation.
The newly established committees—the International Committee for Multilateral Cooperation with BRICS Countries and the International Committee on Standardization—strengthen the Association’s international agenda and enhance its expertise in regulatory harmonization.

FBA EAC Continues Developing Its System of Specialized Committees
Following a decision by correspondence of the Bureau of the Board of the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation on July 30, 2026, two new specialized committees and one subcommittee have been established, expanding the Association's areas of expertise. This marks the next stage in the systematic development of the FBA EAC committee structure, which began in November 2025 with a Board decision to establish the Committee on Industry and the Committee on Science and Education, as well as to reorganize an existing committee into the International Committee on Humanitarian and Social Policy, Charity, and Philanthropy.
