FBA EAC and the Eurasian Economic Commission strengthen cooperation
Alexander Kotlyarsky, First Vice-President of the FBA EAC, held a working meeting with Alexey Vedev, Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
The meeting was also attended by Kanybek Anzhekbarov, Deputy Director of the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the EEC, Anton Vasiliev, member of the FBA EAC, and Nadezhda Khoneneva, Adviser to the Director General of SLC Group.
During the talks, the parties discussed the priorities of macroeconomic policy and key areas of cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union. Special attention was paid to the prospects of expanding the partnership between the FBA EAC and the EEC in the field of analytics and strategic planning.
Alexey Vedev, Doctor of Economics, graduate of the Faculty of Cybernetics of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, studied at Harvard University and the IIASA (Vienna) and held senior and research positions at the Central Economic Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Gaidar Institute and other leading research and analytical centers. He also worked in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. Since April 2025, he heads the Macroeconomic Policy Department of the EEC.
Alexander Kotlyarsky invited AlexeyVedev to take part in the International Financial and Economic Forum organized by the FBA EAC, which will be held on November 27, 2025. The forum will discuss the issues of sustainable economic growth, priority structural reforms and other areas in which Alexey Vedev is a recognized expert.
The meeting was another step towards strengthening cooperation between the FBA EAC and the EEC, as well as an important stage of preparation for the upcoming International Financial and Economic Forum, which will bring together leading experts of the region.
