Evgeny Bazhov: there is the fourth "Made in Russia" store opened in Shanghai
Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in China, General Representative of the Russian Export Center in China, Evgeny Bazhov took part in the opening ceremony of the fourth store of Russian goods under the national brand "Made in Russia". The first two stores appeared in August 2025, the third one was opened in December at the Global Harbor Shopping Center.
The new point of purchase is located in the Baoshan district, and its franchisee is Shanghai Pinyinong Electronic Commerce, a regional partner of the Russian Export Center (part of the government-owned development corporation). On the very first day of work, there was a queue at the door of the store. The product assortment includes food, beverages, cosmetics and household chemicals. According to the cashiers, there were several hundred people who made purchases in the first hours.
The "Made in Russia" retail network development program was launched in summer 2025 as part of the national project "International Cooperation and Export". It involves both the opening of individual stores and the organization of branded departments in existing retail chains. The operator of the program is the Russian Export Center, a state institution that supports non—primary exports.
"The opening of the fourth point by one entrepreneur expresses that he sees the potential in the development of this network in the Chinese market. This is an indicator of concern from both business and consumers," said Evgeny Bazhov. According to him, 23 stores under the "Made in Russia" brand are currently operating in 10 regions of China. In parallel, the REC promotes Russian products through special branded corners in large local chain supermarkets.
The project is in the investment stage, and the partners are coming to payback. Shanghai Pinyinong plans to multiply the number of such stores starting in 2026.
