The Expert Participating in the XI Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum Was Conferred the Russian Prize
The Brazilian media project "Brasil de Fato" (BdF) has received the Expert of the Year Award in the category of International Media 2025. The permanent representative of the publication in Russia is Marco Fernandes, a member of the BRICS Civil Council and the editor of the Wenhua Zongheng International magazine.
The award was granted for its significant contributions to enhancing media cooperation between Brazil and Russia, as well as for its continuous efforts to promote the agenda of countries from the Global South. The jury noted that BdF is the sole Brazilian media outlet with a permanent correspondent in Russia, which enables the publication to produce in-depth reports on events in the Eurasian region, provide its audience with an alternative perspective on key geopolitical processes, and comprehensively cover the activities of the BRICS association and other international forums.
On November 27, 2025, project representative Marco Fernandes delivered a presentation at the XI Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum. In his address, he discussed current trends in the media landscape of Global South countries, practical mechanisms for countering the unipolar information agenda, and prospects for the further development of cooperation between Russian and Latin American media.
Nina Fideles, the Executive Director of Brasil de Fato, commented on the award. "This recognition underscores that our collective and independent journalism aligns with the demands of a transforming world. We are committed to fostering multipolarity and opening new horizons for communication," she stated.
The executive board of FBA EAC extends its sincere congratulations to the partners on this well-earned recognition. The board perceives this achievement as a significant contribution to the development and enhancement of international media discourse.
