Bilateral meeting RF CCI – UAE Embassy

On the 10th of December FBA EAC delegation headed by Igor Kolesov, General Director, took part in a bilateral meeting between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the UAE Embassy, organized by Marina Nesterenko, Chairman of the FBA EAC Committee on International Cooperation.
The FBA EAC delegation, which was also represented by Margarita Fedotova, Advisor to the General Director of SLC-Rus Group of Companies, took part in a constructive dialogue on the prospects of cooperation in the field of special economic zones (SEZ), financial logistics and mutual settlements, as well as international leasing issues.
‘We are entering a new era of relations between the UAE and the Russian Federation – this is due to an unprecedented growth in the trade turnover of the two countries. The stimulation of trade and economic cooperation between the UAE and the Russian Federation demonstrates the political will of the heads of both states. We see an increase in the number of UAE companies registered in Russia, as well as an increase in the number of Russian companies registered in the UAE,’ said Mr. Ahmed Alshehhi, Head of the Economic and Trade Affairs Section at the UAE Embassy.
Mrs. Maitha Al Saleh, Economic and Trade Affairs Specialist at the UAE Embassy, expressed her gratitude to Mrs. Marina Nesterenko for the support in holding the events and reported on the need to further strengthen the interaction between the two countries: ‘Our successful cooperation allows a number of companies that enter the market of the Russian Federation and the UAE to establish and strengthen business contacts’.
All the participants of the meeting expressed the need to continue the development of cooperation between the UAE and the Russian Federation, especially in special economic zones.
