"BRICS: New Horizons of Partnership" — Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum Gets a New Name

On July 30, at a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 12th Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum of the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation, chaired by Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the Board and Vice President of RUIE, the key parameters of the event were confirmed, having been previously approved during a remote deliberation by the Board Bureau. The event, which the Association has held annually since 2014 and which over the years has brought together delegates from dozens of countries, has been given a new name and a renewed agenda focus.

1 On November 26, 2026, the next International Financial and Economic Forum will take place in Moscow under its new name — BRICS: New Horizons of Partnership. The renaming reflects a shift in the business agenda's focus toward current issues of cooperation among BRICS and SCO member states.

Particular attention at the meeting was given to alignment with India's BRICS chairmanship agenda. Work is also underway to engage ambassadors of BRICS countries and representatives of business councils in the forum.

The preliminary venue for the forum has been set at the RUIE headquarters on Kotelnicheskaya Embankment. The program will include specialized sessions on logistics (hosted by the Eurasian Economic Commission), banking, industry, and information security. It has been proposed that the event be held with the support of RUIE, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Association of Russian Banks.

The new name and the updated agenda are a response to objective shifts in the global economy. The elimination of tariff barriers, the development of payment systems, and the expansion of logistics corridors have become top priorities for all BRICS and SCO countries. The Moscow forum is evolving into a practical platform where these issues can be discussed directly with partners — without intermediaries and without losing sight of the real challenges facing the businesses and governments of the association's member states.
