Announcement of the open meeting of the Financial Markets Association “Council for Professional Qualifications Development”
On June 27, 2025, an in-person open meeting of the Financial Markets Association “Council for Professional Qualifications Development” will be held under the chairmanship of Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the Council and Chairman of the FBA EAC Board. The event will be held at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.
Within the framework of the meeting, participants will sum up the results of the work of the Council for the year of 2024, consider key areas of activity of the Council in the field of entrepreneurship and economics, and hold an open thematic discussion on the transformation of higher education in accordance with the current requirements of the labor market.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of relevant ministries, the State Duma, leading scientific and educational institutions, financial institutions and organizations – all of which play a key role in the formation of the national system of professional qualifications.
Special attention will be paid to the development of human capital and practical implementation of initiatives in the framework of pilot projects to integrate professional standards and the system of independent assessment of qualifications into educational programs.
The discussion part of the event, dedicated to the topic “Development of higher education taking into account the needs of the labor market”, will bring together industry experts, analysts and representatives of the academic community. One expects a meaningful exchange of views and concrete proposals for improving the system of training personnel for the financial and economic sphere.
The Financial Markets Association “Council for Professional Qualifications Development” was established by the decision of the National Council for Professional Qualifications under the President of the Russian Federation and has exclusive powers in developing professional standards in the field of finance and economics. The Council actively participates in the implementation of strategic tasks defined at the level of the country’s top leadership, in particular within the framework of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation aimed at reforming the levels of professional education in the 2023-2026 academic years.
