Anna Bezdudnaya Participates in the IV Arctic – Regions Forum

Anna Bezdudnaya, General Director of the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation and Editor-in-Chief of the Herald of FBA EAC, participated in the IV Arctic – Regions Forum. The event was held in Arkhangelsk on August 13–14, 2026, bringing together over 1,500 delegates from 45 regions of Russia, including heads of major enterprises and state corporations, representatives of federal and regional government bodies, and research and educational institutions.

The Forum was organized by the Government of Arkhangelsk Oblast with the support of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic. This year, the Republic of India served as the partner country, while the United Shipbuilding Corporation acted as the general partner. The key theme of the Forum was "Technological Leadership in Safeguarding the Arctic." The agenda centered on the industrial sector and strategic issues concerning the development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation. Among the main tracks of the business program were the development of port infrastructure and the Northern Sea Route.

Anna Bezdudnaya addressed the Forum in her capacity as a member of the Expert Council on the Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation and Executive Director of the Research and Education Center for Environmental and Economic Studies of the Arctic. Key topics discussed as part of the business program included establishing year-round navigation, increasing cargo throughput to 109 million tons by 2030, and expanding the geography of the Greater Northern Sea Route by incorporating the ports of St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, and Arkhangelsk to create a unified transport axis from the Baltic to the Far East. Separate sessions were dedicated to shipbuilding and ship repair for high latitudes, robotics, unmanned systems, and specialized equipment for the Arctic, as well as the development of anchor settlements and the resource base of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation.

Russian–Indian cooperation was one of the Forum's key themes. Participants discussed collaboration in energy, including the development of oil fields and the supply of liquefied natural gas, the supply of critical minerals, labor mobility, the development of transport corridors, and mutual investment — including Russia's participation in developing port infrastructure on India's eastern coast and India's investment in infrastructure projects in Russia.

The participation of Anna Bezdudnaya in the Arkhangelsk Forum is part of the ongoing, systematic work of FBA EAC. The Association consistently serves as a bridge between science, business, and government on the Arctic agenda — from scientific research to practical solutions for northern supply and logistics.
