Alexey Kazartsev Discusses Interbank Cooperation and Payment Systems with Kenyan Ambassador

Alexey Kazartsev, a specialist in international payment systems and the Head of the FBA EAC International Banking Committee, engaged in a discussion on financial integration issues with Peter Mutuku Mathuki, the Ambassador of Kenya.

The meeting, organized by Marina Nesterenko, the Head of the FBA EAC Committee on International Cooperation and Tourism, saw Kazartsev present a strategic vision for constructing independent payment bridges between BRICS countries and their partners to the Kenyan delegation. The negotiations culminated in an agreement to establish systematic cooperation between the banking associations of both nations. This collaboration aims to facilitate the transition from general declarations to concrete correspondent banking relationships and the introduction of innovative payment services.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Kazartsev extended an invitation to the Ambassador and Kenyan banking professionals to participate in future FBA EAC events. Additionally, he announced plans for a visit by a Russian delegation to Nairobi, with the objective of further enhancing bilateral cooperation.
