During the business program, Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board, delivered a welcoming address to the participants. In his remarks, Murychev underscored the necessity of fostering and enhancing a constructive dialogue among the business community, scientific institutions, and governmental authorities. He posited that the collaborative synergy of these three entities is crucial for ensuring the country's technological autonomy and effectively addressing the strategic challenges confronting the Russian chemical industry.

The meeting facilitated an extensive discourse on a wide array of issues that shape the future trajectory of the chemical industry. Key discussion points included:

– Enhancement of domestic production of reagents and highly purified materials. Participants highlighted the urgent requirement for the electronic, pharmaceutical, and associated industries to secure high-quality products that can substitute imported counterparts. The issues of research, advanced development financing, and facility modernization have also been addressed.

– Establishment of systemic management mechanisms for the industry. A proposal to create a specialized interdepartmental body to coordinate chemical industry policy, thereby eliminating departmental barriers and enhancing decision-making efficacy, garnered significant interest.

– Formulation of partnership programs and legislative initiatives. Experts deliberated on the contours of future collaboration programs for the production of critical chemical products. Additionally, they emphasized the need for legislative codification of mandatory procurement of domestic products for state needs and state corporation requirements, which would ensure a stable demand for Russian manufacturers.

The meeting was attended by representatives from relevant ministries and agencies, industry associations, academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the heads of major industrial enterprises and research centers. The diverse participant base facilitated a comprehensive review of existing challenges and the identification of solutions grounded in best practices and current scientific advancements.
