General Meeting of the FBA EAC members was held on March 29, 2024

On March 29, 2024, a regular General Meeting of the Association’s members was held at the FBA EAC office. The meeting reviewed the results of the work for the year 2023, approved the reports of the Directorate, the Board and the Audit Commission of FBA EAC.

The participants of the meeting focused on the issues of strategic development for the year 2024, paying special attention in the activities of the governing bodies to the need to strengthen cooperation with the business circles of the BRICS, SCO, Middle East and Africa countries. Support for building Great Eurasian Partnership and developing the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, as well as strengthening the FBA’s expert role in supporting the development of the banking sector and stimulating international business remain important areas.
Personnel decisions were made at the meeting. Oleg Berezovoy was relieved of his duties as General Director due to the inability to serve as General Director for a long time. Igor Kolesov, who successfully passed the competitive selection process, was unanimously elected to this position.
Due to the withdrawal of a number of members from the Board, the meeting introduced the Vice-Presidents of the Association, Marat Sagalevich (Eurasia Financial Corporation LLC) and Sergey Plikais (Octaviana LLC) to the Board on a rotational basis.
The meeting approved a number of amendments to the Charter related to the Association’s structure and election to the Board.
Summing up the results of the meeting, FBA EAC President Li Shuobing stressed the need to intensify project activities in the international area: “There are many large-scale, promising, responsible projects ahead of us,” Li Shuobing emphasized.
