The X Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum (MIFEF-2024) took place on the 21st of November
This year, MIFEF celebrated its 10th anniversary and once again became a platform for business dialogue between government officials from Russia and friendly countries, heads of FBA's foreign branches, representatives of the scientific and expert community, bringing together more than 200 delegates from 25 countries.

The central event of MIFEF was the plenary session “Building Bridges, Not Barriers. Business Eurasia in a New Reality” moderated by Doctor of Political Science, Professor Alexey Gromyko, Director of the Institute of Europe, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The plenary session was also attended by Mr. Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Mr. Li Shuobing, President of FBA EAC, Mr. Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board, Mr. Aydar Metshin, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Mr. Zhang Wei, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation, Mrs. Yana Epifanova, Vice-President of the Association of Banks of Russia, Mr. Arkadiy Khachatryan, representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Mr. Bakhytbek Baiseitov, President of the Association of Banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Gao Qi, General Representative of the Representative Office of the China Committee for the Promotion of International Trade in the Russian Federation, and other delegates.
A solemn event of the forum was the awarding of the President of FBA EAC Mr. Li Shuobing with the Order of the Association for his great personal contribution to the development of international financial and economic cooperation and the organization of effective business.
Within the framework of MIFEF-2024, thematic sessions on actual topics were held:
- Cross-border payments and settlements: yesterday, today, and tomorrow;
- Free economic zones and regional clusters as drivers of economic growth: Russian and international experience;
- International investments and investment Cooperation between Russia and friendly countries: economic potential of the tourism and hospitality industry;
- Trade and economic relations between Russia and China as a driver of Greater Eurasia region growth;
- BRICS – towards a fair multipolar world order;
- Development and integration of Eurasian transport corridors;
- Development of integration as well as trade and economic relations in Greater Eurasia.

Online broadcasting in three languages – Russian, English and Chinese – was organized for the thematic sessions and plenary session of MIFEF, which attracted 350 listeners from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, China, Rwanda, Australia, Japan, Italy, Israel, Poland, Bulgaria, France, Moldova, Brazil, India and others.
At the end of the forum, Mr. Li Shuobing, President of FBA EAC, shared plans to hold the next Financial and Economic Forum in the spring 2025 in Shanghai.
