The discussion focused on areas of financing economic development, macroeconomic aspects of ensuring financial conditions for sustainable economic growth, opportunities to support Russian enterprises, mechanisms to reduce transaction costs for business, and more.
Alexander Shokhin, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, noted that the financial market as the basis of the modern economy plays a vital role for sustainable growth and business development opportunities. It is the foundation of trust on which long-term investments are built, new jobs are created, competitiveness is strengthened and the well-being of society increases.
Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board, Co-Chairman of the Financial Policy Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and Vice President of the RSPP, also made a speech at the Financial Forum. He emphasized the urgent need to bring to market tools that would break the chain of negative trends in the economy.
‘There is need for systemic measures that would prevent the emerging crisis of non-payments, which usually ends with the investment of billions of rubles to pay all the debts off. There is also a big problem of accounts receivable, which is growing. In these conditions, it is necessary to reduce the level of burden on industry in the mode of efficient anti-crisis management with the use of indicator tools,’ Alexander Murychev pointed out, adding that it is time to move on to supporting systemically important enterprises that are in a situation of, on the one hand, unavailability of credit, and on the other hand, the leaching of own funds.
