The FBA EAC delegation visits Serbia
On April 1-4, 2023 the FBA EAC delegation visited the Republic of Serbia. The delegation was headed by Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the FBA EAC Executive Board, and Oleg Berezovoy, General Director of the FBA EAC.
The agenda of the visit included the official opening of the European Bureau of the FBA EAC, negotiations with representatives of the Serbian business community and visits to leading enterprises in the country.
The FBA EAC delegation visited the office of the European Bureau of the FBA EAC, where the parties exchanged opinions on the Bureau’s course and pace of development, growth of its visibility in Europe and attracting participants and partners.
Dragan Trivan, President of the European Bureau of the FBA EAC, told about the Bureau’s immediate plans on building business communications both with the European business and the representatives of North and South America, creation of the organization’s website, as well as the decision to hold a presentation of the European Bureau of the FBA EAC on the platform of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (hereinafter CCIS).
The official opening of the European Bureau of the FBA EAC took place on April 3 in CCIS with the participation of the CCIS leadership: Bojan Stanić, Deputy Director, Jovana Majstorović, Head of Centre for Asia, and Heads of the FBA EAC Representative Offices in Moldova and Romania Ruslan Taran and Tudor Afanasov.
The opening of the European Bureau of the FBA EAC was also attended by entrepreneurs Marius Marinescu, Honorary Consul of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Romania, Chairman of the Romanian-Chinese Chamber in Prahova, businessman, owner of newspaper Ziarul Ploesti; Florin Kitsoran, agricultural farmer, businessman, from Romania and Goran Kukurozovic, CEO of Taneo Group, and Filip Jovanovic, Development Director of Taneo Group, from Serbia.
Bojan Stanić addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. In his presentation Dragan Trivan expressed gratitude to the leadership of the FBA EAC for the trust to head the first of the Regional Bureaus of the Association, and confidence in close cooperation with the CCIS, which now brings together all businesses in the country.
Talking about the FBA EAC, Alexander Murychev elaborated on the development program of Regional Bureaus, strategic directions of the Association’s activities for the year, presented the current issue of the FBA EAC’s journal – «Eurasian Financial and Economic Herald», invited members of the CCIS to take part in the contest for the International Public Award «Business Elite of Eurasia» held by the Association, as well as X Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum «Building Bridges, not Barriers. Business Eurasia in a New Reality», which will take place in November this year.
Oleg Berezovoy, General Director of the FBA EAC, spoke about the practical activities of the Association. He focused on FBA EAC programs to build inter-bank communications, implementation of investment projects of the Association members, providing services and advice on issues related to international business, protection of rights and interests of the FBA EAC members, coordination of their activities at the industry, regional and international levels. Speaking about the idea of creating the European Bureau of the FBA EAC, Oleg Berezovoy noted the relevance of this project, which opens new opportunities for entrepreneurs - members of the FBA EAC under conditions of political and economic instability in the world.
Heads of the FBA EAC Representative Offices in Moldova and Romania, business representatives of the countries present at the opening of the FBA EAC European Bureau, voiced their support for its establishment and willingness to fully cooperate with the Bureau.
Also on this day the FBA EAC delegation met with Zoran Drakulić, President of the Business Club «Privrednik». The club was established in January 2002 by 23 successful Serbian entrepreneurs in order to unite their personal potential and the potential of the companies they manage. The main task of the Club is to contribute to the fulfillment of complex, socially important tasks, in building a stable and safe social environment. The subject of negotiations was business cooperation in Eurasia.
One of the enterprises, visited by the delegation of the FBA EAC, was Nopallux factory, whose owner Djura Jakovljev is Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in Serbia.
The participants discussed issues related to the work of the Representative Office of the Association, its interaction with the established European Bureau of the FBA EAC, as well as opportunities to support the business of Serbian entrepreneurs, their access to the Eurasian market.
The visit of the FBA EAC delegation to Serbia turned out to be eventful and productive. Representatives of the European business showed interest in cooperation with the FBA EAC and the European Bureau of the FBA EAC, new business relations were established and the existing ones were strengthened.
