Russian – Kyrgyz Interregional Conference

 On March 27-28 in Bishkek Anatoly Tkachuk, the FBA EAC Vice-President, RSPP Board Member became a part of Russian businessmen delegation to attend the 8th Russia—Kyrgyzstan Interregional Conference ‘Towards New Horizons of Strategic Partnership and Integration’. The event was timed to coincide with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Kyrgyzstan

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin welcomed the plenary session and pointed out the importance of mutual relations, strategic partnership and integration of the two countries.

Anatoly Tkachuk also attended business breakfast of the Minister of economic development of Russia Maksim Orlov and the Minister of economy of Kyrgyzstan Oleg Pankratov with the leaders of regions and companies. He negotiated with Kyrgyz and Russian businessmen on industry and finance, in particular the shipment of the Russian products to Kyrgyzstan.

A lot was discussed at round tables regarding the development of agriculture in Russia and Kyrgyzstan and transport and logistics prospects, the investment and financial cooperation and the promotion of goods on the Russian and Kyrgyz markets.

During the conference Anatoly Tkachuk had meetings and negotiations with different public and business structures which signed agreements and memoranda.

A number of issues of interbank cooperation were discussed with the Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Tolkunbek Abdygulov and the Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank Andrew Beliyaninov.

The meetings also involved some public associations, for example the Association of markets, trade companies and services of Kyrgyzstan and others. Anatoly Tkachuk had a fruitful meeting with the President of the Association “Dordoy” Askar Salymbekov.

The results of the 8th Russia—Kyrgyzstan Interregional Conference ‘Towards New Horizons of Strategic Partnership and Integration’ will be taken into account in the development of work with Kyrgyzstan and other Eurasian countries within the activity of FBA EAC.
