On October 19, 2021, the XIV Assembly of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE) was held in Moscow.
Vasily Tarlev, President of the National Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Moldova, who chairs the Assembly, proposed the following agenda to the participants and guests:
1. Opportunities and suggestions for enhancing the interaction of ICIE members and partners with the business community of Moscow.
2. Current state of affairs and prospects for economic development in the post-pandemic period in the States represented in the ICIE.
3. Proposals of the Coordinating Council of the Congress on Cooperation with Business Associations of Asian countries on the development of cooperation with the business community of the People's Republic of China
4. Admission to the ICIE membership
5. Approval of the annual report and accounting financial statements of the ICIE for 2020.
6. Re-election of the members of the Control Commission of the ICIE.
During the discussion of the main issues on the Agenda, the following speakers addressed the audience: Vladimir Platonov - President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Artem Chaika - President of the ICIE, Alexander Ageev - General Director of the International Research Institute of Management Problems, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Remyga - Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the ICIE for Interaction with Business Associations of Asian Countries, Li Zheng - Director General of the Chinese International Investment Corporation "Huamin", Chen Zhigan - President of the Russian-Chinese Association for Research and Development of the "One Belt and One Road" Strategy, and others.
The participants made relevant proposals to the Assembly on innovation, industry, investment topics, the implementation of promising programs and projects, the expansion and mutual support of the participation of Moscow structures and enterprises together with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the international markets of goods, services and technologies. They stressed the special need for systematic information exchange, mutual dissemination of best practices and effective work practices, coordinated actions with the authorities of Moscow and the countries represented in the ICIE. They also called for the formation of an optimal business climate, favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity.
Particular attention was paid to organizations working in the Chinese direction, and the active involvement of Russian and Chinese companies in working cooperation with Huamin Park.
The IССI and the ICIE had concluded a Partnership Agreement earlier. The participants of the Assembly have put forward initiative provisions. These factors allowed the members of the Assembly to decide that long-term cooperation would continue and focus on organizing and conducting joint events, consulting and expert assessments of the implemented tasks. Moreover, thanks to the active involvement of working bodies, representative offices, other structures and assets of partners, profile, including financial, scientific, legal formations in their solution.
The Assembly decided to issue a proposal to the Moscow Mayor's Office of the Congress leadership on the possible creation of an "International Center for Entrepreneurial Initiatives and the Latest technologies in Business" in Moscow, to appeal to interested organizations of the city to support this idea.
The Congress Council was asked to provide for a systematic analysis of the state and effectiveness of cooperation between the ICIE and the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in general, with the business community of Moscow, and to ensure the correction of ongoing interaction plans, their modernization and expansion of areas of future joint work.
On behalf of the FBA EAC, Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC, and Oleg Berezovoy, General Director of the FBA EAC, took part in the Assembly of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE).
