A meeting of the International Banking Council was held on June 17
On June 17, 2022, a regular meeting of the International Banking Council took place in Baku (Azerbaijan) as part of the Fintech Summit 2022 (FINTEX - FINANCE AND TECHNOLOGIES EXPO). The meeting was in a mixed format. The participants discussed the topic of ESG banking.
Zakir Nuriyev, President of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the IBC and Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Association of Banks of Russia chaired the meeting.
Yunus Abdulov, Executive Director of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan, Yana Epifanova, Vice President of the Association of Banks of Russia, Anvar Abdraev, President of the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan, Bakhtiyar Khamidov, General Director of the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan made reports on the development of ESG banking in their countries.
The guests of the IBC meeting were Victoria Stepanenko, Deputy Director of the Corporate Relations Department of the Bank of Russia and Zaur Alekperov, Adviser to the Chairman of the Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan.
Summing up the results of the event, Alexander Murychev thanked the participants of the meeting for their informative and highly professional speeches. He proposed to make a recommendation to the decision of the IBC meeting on the use of materials and speeches of participants in their practical activities, as well as to familiarize all interested credit and other financial organizations of the IBC member states with it.
The General Director of the Association Oleg Berezovoy represented FBA EAC at the meeting.
