XXII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

On May 24-26, 2018 XXII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was held. SPIEF 2018 was held under the slogan “Building a Trust Economy” with the aim to build contacts with young politicians of the world. This area provides for coordinated work of all members of international group of businessmen.   

More than 15 thousand guests from tens of countries came to SPIEF 2018, including leaders of such companies as BP, Siemens, Shell, Boeing and many others.

Discussion platforms of SPIEF raised such topics as new technologies, artificial intellect in the real sector of economy, gene therapy, mainstream technologies in medical sector, digital infrastructure and blockchain.

The Forum also considered the ways for economy growth in the conditions created by the state for profitable business, with innovative opportunities and perspectives which will reveal the potential of the whole economic space.

The President of France Emmanuel Macron and the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe brought large business delegations with them. The Forum also welcomed Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund and other leaders of international organizations and funds.

SPIEF2018 provided for inter-state dialogues with the USA, Italy, Finland, India, Africa, as well as business breakfasts with pharmaceutical and IT companies.

FBA EAC was represented by the Chairman of Coordinating Council, Executive Vice-President of RSPP A. Murychev, Member of FBA EAC Coordinating Council, President of Soltex Group (India) M.Kumar, Head of FBA EAC Representative office in China E. Bazhov.
